The master of science degree in occupational therapy is a post-professional program for certified occupational therapists. Therapists entering the master of science degree program must have a bachelor's degree, a post-bachelor's certificate, or an entry-level master's degree in occupational therapy. The program emphasizes an individualized approach to allow students to choose from a variety of graduate course offerings and focus on a specialized area of study. The Institutes of Gerontology and Developmental Disabilities offer certification programs which can be coordinated and obtained concurrently with the master of science degree program.
