The division offers two specializations in Exceptional Student Education: Comprehensive and Exceptional Student Education/ESOL (K-12). There is a critical shortage of certified teachers, administrators, related professionals, and specialists in many areas of exceptional student education. Exceptional Student Education continues to be a critical shortage area and teacher education students may be eligible for the Critical Teacher Shortage Loan Forgiveness Program and/or the Critical Teacher Shortage Tuition Reimbursement Program.

   
Accreditation Information: The University of West Florida is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association. The College of Professional Studies is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
