The School of Law offers a one-year program leading to the master of comparative law (M.C.L.) degree. The program is for persons who have completed a basic legal education and received auniversity degree in law in another country. The program's purpose is to afford students whose legal background is not the common law tradition an opportunity to acquire a basic understanding of Anglo-American legal institutions and concepts, prior to returning to their respective legal communities. Enrollment in the M.C.L. program is quite limited; a few highly qualified applicants areaccepted.
