The MSW is designed to provide students with a professional education that includes breadth and depth of knowledge and skills development. The foundation curriculum provides knowledge, skills development and values that embody the generalist social work perspective. Upon this foundation rests the skills concentration areas of direct practice with individuals, families and groups and community organization and social administration. Each of these skill concentrations provides the in-depth, specialized knowledge and skills that will prepare students for advanced practice. The School also offers joint degree programs combining a Master of Social Work with a Master of Divinity, Juris Doctor (Law), Master of Public Health, Master of Public Administration or Master of Public Affairs.
