The purpose of the two-year graduate program is to prepare students to enter professional careers in community college teaching, applied research, social service, or to pursue the doctorate degree. A year-long research methods and statistics course demands supervised practice in analyzing large data bases using professional statistical packages, andparticipation in a field research project under the guidance of an experienced faculty member.
