Art Education is a graduate initial teacher preparation program designed to accommodate applicants with a bachelorÆs degree in Fine Arts, equivalent degree, or a strong minor in Fine Arts but who lack teacher certification and are seeking entry into the teaching profession. The program includes courses that provide the necessary background in professional education for certification together with the masterÆs level academic coursework. The M.A.T. in Art Education involves extensive fieldwork with supervision and seminars.
