The Master of Art in Teaching (M.A.T.) Spanish Education is a graduate initial teacher preparation program designed to accommodate applicants with a bachelorÆs degree or a strong minor (30 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA or higher) in Spanish but who lack teacher certification and are seeking entry into the teaching profession. The program includes courses that provide the necessary background in professional education for certification together with the masterÆs level academic coursework.
