Evolution, Ecology & Behavior
On Campus

Widely recognized as one of the top Evolution, Ecology & Behavior programs anywhere, students at Indiana University are emersed in an atmosphere of learning through a fine-tuned mix of curriculum; seminars; field research; laboratory research; research advising, and informal collegial interactions that ensure preparation for your chosen career path. The most recent Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index compiled by Academic Analytics, ranked our Ecology faculty #6 in terms of research productivity.

Students in our Ecology Program benefit from the newly opened 6000 sq. ft. field research station located in Griffy Woods, a 185-acre preserve.  Indiana University Research and Teaching Preserve (IURTP) consists of seven sites totaling over 1500 acres of heavily forested landscape located only minutes from the heart of IU's Bloomington campus.

Our faculty are award-winning, and your peers will be among some of the brightest young minds in science. If you are looking for a degree that will be highly respected in the ecological world, you should be looking at IU. We fully support our doctoral students for a minimum of five years with assistanceships or fellowships. We encourage interested students to apply online.
