The School of Music offers two types of master's degrees. A comprehensive Master of Arts in the Teaching of Music is available as well as a Master of Music in five areas of concentration.

  • The Master of Music is designed to enhance students' teaching, performing, research, and creative abilities in music. Those pursuing this degree have the opportunity to concentrate in: performance, composition, conducting, music education, or music therapy.
  • The School of Music and the Department of Education and Professional Development combine to offer the Master of Arts in the Teaching of Music. The music and teacher education course work enhances students' abilities, especially in the area of teaching music.
