The graduate program in human genetics provides a strong foundation in all areas of human and medical genetics, with opportunities for both basic and applied research. All students are required to complete the core curriculum, with exposure to a broad range of genetic subspecialties, and to perform a research project under the direction of a member of the graduate faculty. The degree program includes involvement in classroom, seminar and patient care settings, as well as laboratory research experiences. The program has been accredited by the American Board of Medical Genetics.
