On Campus

  • A graduate program leading to the Master of Arts degree and including course offerings in English and American Literature, Rhetoric and Composition, Linguistics, and Creative Writing.
  • Designed for those who seek qualification for admission to a doctoral program in English at another institution, for those who seek to teach on the high school or community college level, or for those who wish to pursue a liberal education at an advanced level.
  • The Creative Writing Option provides beginning writers with exposure to a variety of literary genres and helps established writers polish or expand their techniques. Writers also have the opportunity to discuss their work with nationally recognized professionals, while acquiring credits toward a Master's degree.
  • The program is designed to accommodate those students whose outside obligations limit their hours of attendance or the number of courses they can complete each term. Most classes meet in the late afternoon or early evening for the convenience of students with daytime employment.
