The Master of Science in Dentistry is offered in five tracks: endodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and prosthodontics. The program consists of 54 credits of core courses, completion of required courses in one of the approved tracks, and completion of a master's thesis. Graduates of the MS in dentistry degree program are expected to be capable of:
1. Meeting the specialized dental care needs in their discipline in the community.
2. Applying analytical and technological skills to specialty dental care.
3. Being responsive to the needs and expectations of their parents.
4. Collaborating effectively with other specialists and generalists in the provision of interdisciplinary dental patient care.
5. Being effective managers of a specialized dental practice.
6. Being responsive to future changes in the profession and the specialty.
7. Being active users of scientific literature and lifetime learners.
8. Applying the principles of ethics and professionalism in their practices.
9. Completing the certifying examination for the respective specialty board.
10. Participating actively in professional dental and specialty organizations.
