Instruction is provided in many areas, including subsonic, supersonic and hypersonic aerodynamics; computational and experimental aerodynamics; V/STOL, noise, and turbulence; flight and orbit mechanics, systems analysis, guidance and control, optimization, and control of flexible aerospace vehicles; rocket propulsion, propellant combustion, and combustion instability in ramjets and rockets; and elasticity, fracture mechanics, waves, finite elements, material properties, fatigue, aeroelasticity, composite materials, structural dynamics, and experimental mechanics.
