Purdue University makes available engineering courses and master's degrees at a distance for qualified professionals who wish to participate in courses and degrees delivered completely online. Engineering Professional Education (ProEd) at Purdue University offers a special interdisciplinary master's degree program for engineers and other technical professionals that allows a combination of graduate level courses in engineering, mathematics, statistics, psychology, business administration, and related areas in a unified, coherent plan of study. Each plan of study leads to the Master of Science in Engineering degree if the student has an accredited degree in engineering, or the Master of Science if the student has a degree in a related area (mathematics, physics, computer science, etc.). Engineering Professional Education (ProEd) also offers specific degrees in aeronautics and astronautics engineering - MSAAE, electrical and computer engineering - MSECE, industrial engineering - MSIE, and mechanical engineering - MSME. All master's degree programs are delivered completely online. In addition, Engineering Professional Education (ProEd) makes available professional development noncredit short courses delivered online, on campus, or at advertised locations.
