The basic goal of our program is to produce competent consumers of empirical research and theory so that our graduates will be adequately prepared to continue work for a doctorate or to be able to apply the results of research to their professional problems and activities. In light of this we also expect our graduates to be able to evaluate and commission research projects that may arise as part of their professional duties. Our program is not broadcast or production oriented, nor does it incorporate journalism.
