The purpose of the European Studies Program is to promote knowledge and understanding of Europe both on and off campus. The program was established in 1968, and is designed to provide integrated interdisciplinary studies on contemporary Europe for both undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate students in the program work for a higher degree in a specific discipline while taking interdisciplinary courses toward a certificate or Ph.D. minor in European studies.
