It gives students an opportunity to develop expertise in the interdisciplinary study of information processing by humans as well as intelligent machines. Graduate students investigating mental processes such as language processing, reading, perception and action, planning, problem-solving, learning, category formation, or applications such as artificial intelligence or educational technology are encouraged to participate, with the approval of an advisor in their major program, by contacting the director of the Cognitive Science Supervisory Committee.
