The purpose of the HBI program is to provide an opportunity for minority students to visit Purdue University and subsequently consider enrollment. The broad intent of the program is to: Encourage undergraduate students from HBIs to pursue a graduate education. Illustrate the various career opportunities available at Purdue. Establish ties between faculty and students on the Purdue University campus and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
