NYU SteinhardtÆs M.A. program in Sociology of Education offers a special concentration in Education Policy that allows students to develop sophisticated skills in quantitative methodology and policy analysis. Carried out in full collaboration with the Department of Sociology in NYUÆs Graduate School of Arts and Science, students have access to a large and truly world-class faculty. Together, our departments are actively engaged in research on school violence and discipline, schooling and citizenship, high school reform, higher education access, and comparative educational systems. Graduates of the masterÆs program are well equipped to pursue careers in research, evaluation, and policy organizations; government agencies; and youth and community service organizations. Students who are interested in education policy may also wish to consider our programs in Educational Leadership or our Ph.D. programs in Sociology of Education and in Teaching and Learning.
