The M.S. /M.B.A. program in Television Management prepares students to break into one of today's most exciting industries, or further advance an existing television career. A partnership between Drexel's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and LeBow College of Business provides a unique integrated education in business and television production. The two-year, full-time professional degree program combines classroom study and independent research with hands-on experience working in the Drexel University cable station, DUTV. Using the station as their laboratory, students participate in the day-to-day operations of the station, whose programming reaches 300,000 homes in the Philadelphia area, and apply skills in strategic planning, sales and marketing, budget management, and production. As part of the MBA course of study, students may take advantage of the new Leonard Pearlstein Business Learning Center, featuring state-of-the-art classrooms, conference rooms, and technology upgrades. Students in this dual-degree program gain a strong applied knowledge of the industry combined with a broad intellectual education that will help them become confident decision-makers and informed leaders in the television industry
