The Department of Biology offers three graduate programs: a Ph.D. in Molecular Bioscience, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biology (available with a Neuroscience track or a minor in Business Administration), and a Master of Science in Microbiology. The M.S. programs prepare students for basic research and teaching applicable in careers in academic institutions and in the biotechnology industry, and they provide a solid foundation for subsequent Ph.D. programs. The Ph.D. program emphasizes the application of molecular and cellular biotechnology in studies of living systems. Evening and weekend classes are available. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible to enroll in these programs.
