Graduate research degrees in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture emphasize creative problem solving with horticultural commodities (floriculture, landscape, nursery, pomology, turf, vegetable crops, viticulture), and are based on disciplinary and interdisciplinary investigations (plant physiology, environmental and soil sciences, plant genetics, plant biochemistry, landscape design/planning). There is ample opportunity to obtain multidisciplinary research training encompassing collaboration with programs in biochemistry, biology, food science/safety, microbiology, plant biotechnology, plant physiology, natural resources, landscape storm-water and construction management.
