Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program encourages talented undergraduate students to pursue graduate studies by providing opportunities to define goals, engage in research, develop the skills and student/faculty mentor relationships critical to success at the doctoral level. The program has both an academic year and a summer component, with the ultimate goal to increase the number of underrepresented students in doctoral programs.
