The goal of the program is to train a new generation of scientists who can bridge the gap between massive quantities of biological data and the computational methods needed to maximize the utility of that data.Students in the program come from a wide variety of academic backgrounds.Once enrolled, they receive broad training in all of the disciplines that have come together as computational biology, but without the time required to meet the degree requirements of each program studied separately.
