The Program in Immunology is designed for students who want an in-depth exposure to immunobiology. The faculty members involved in immunology have a wide range of interests that cover the entire field. These interests include cellular immunology, the role of cell surface molecules, histocompatibility, immunogenetics, resistance to infections, complement biochemistry and biology, lymphokines, molecular biology of B-cell and T-cell receptors, function of macrophages, and B cells and T cells and natural killer cells. The immunology faculty is represented among several departments in the medical school, including the Departments of Genetics, Medicine, Microbiology, Pathology, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, and Surgery
