Students in the program learn to apply research-based knowledge and methods to the design and evaluation of education, prevention, and intervention programs for children, youth, and families. Courses in three areas make up the core curriculum: (1) Developmental and Family Theory and Research; (2) Research Design and Methods; and (3) Program Development and Evaluation.  All full-time students receive financial support as a half-time teaching assistant or research assistant (including a full tuition waiver).  Students on support need only pay fees.
