The Center coordinates a program of study which includes instruction in the major languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Turkish) of the area, advanced training in linguistics and literature, and area studies dealing with the culture, politics, history, economics, social institutions, religion, and philosophy of the Middle East.
