During the first year, students complete courses in basic and clinical sciences, and in basic physical therapy evaluation and treatment procedures. Students also are introduced to legal, ethical and professional aspects of physical therapy and management of patients with cardiorespiratory dysfunction. Two full-time clinical experiences occur during the first year. Full-time clinical experiences occur at facilities located in various parts of Texas and surrounding states.
