Active research programs emphasize life-history evolution, plant mating system evolution, biodiversity, the evolution of animal behavior, molecular evolution, photoperiodism and seasonal development, theoretical ecology, population viability analysis, microbial ecology and evolution, paleobiology, paleoecology and ecosystem evolution, and biology education.
