The Department of Theatre Arts offers graduate study leading to a Master of Arts degree. The Master of Arts program is designed to prepare you for either a Master of Fine Arts degree or a Ph.D. The program is individualized so that you may select a special area of emphasis such as directing, design and technical theatre, playwriting, dramatic literature, feminist theatre, cultural studies, or history. Coursework emphasizes both the practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline. An active production schedule provides you with opportunities in all areas of performance, directing, and technical theatre.
