As the world and its communication systems become more complex, graduate training is critical for preparing communicators to provide the information citizens need. Both the professional and the research tracks at Missouri are theory-based. Each student is expected to have working knowledge of theory about media and cultural effects, philosophy, history, literature of the media, and law and ethics.
