The MFA program provides superior preparation for those who plan to work professionally in art as visual artists or as teachers of visual art at the college level. The program is designed to permit gifted individuals to achieve their highest creative potential as studio artists, with the benefit of interaction and exchange of ideas possible in a university setting. As part of the MFA program, specialized laboratory facilities are provided in a variety of studio disciplines, including painting, drawing, design, sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, ceramics, metals, fibers and photography. A limited number of graduate studios also are available.
