The Chemical Physics Graduate Program at the University of Minnesota is an interdisciplinary program that includes 26 faculty members from the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science,Biochemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. Members of the Chemical Physics faculty and the students working with them study a wide variety of problems, ranging from the preparation of helium dimer in sub-milliKelvin molecular beams to the characterization of protein-RNA interactions using site-directed mutagenesis techniques. State-of-the-art experimental instrumentation and the outstanding computational facilities at the Supercomputer Institute help keep this program at the cutting edge of chemical physics research. Thanks to these exceptional resources, its large and diverse faculty, and the excellent graduate students and postdoctorals it attracts, the University of Minnesota's Chemical Physics Graduate Program is among the best in the world.
