It is our mission to train teachers of the deaf who are able to meet a wide variety of individual needs across diverse settings. The Deaf Education program at the University of Kansas offers multiple plans of study to prepare graduate students for work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary, and secondary youths who are D/HH. Study of deaf-blind children and rural options are also possible. All programs are offered on a part-time or full-time basis. State-of-the-art technology has been utilized to offer deaf education courses using interactive compressed video and the World Wide Web.
