The School Counseling Program at the University of Iowa is designed for people who are interested in counseling children and adolescents within a school setting. The School Counseling Program recognizes that school counselors work with students in a variety of ways, including individual and small group counseling, classroom guidance, educational/career planning, and as consultants to teachers, parents, families and other professionals. Our students experience a variety of educational opportunities to learn and practice skills in these areas.
