The Department provides assistantships to the majority of the students working towards the M.S. (with thesis) and Ph.D. degrees. The course work required for the M.S. degree can be completed in typically four semesters if the student holds a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline. The course work for the Ph.D. degree can be completed in eight semesters beyond a B.S. degree.
