The History Department offers the Masters of Arts and Ph.D. degrees. Since 1980 enrollment in the graduate program has climbed from 55 to 171. At the same time admissions grew more selective, with average GRE scores rising from 1,000 to 1,200. Public History Program The Department also offers an M.A. track in Public history, as well as a minor for the traditional M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. The Public History program prepares students for careers in government, business, and historical agencies.
