The overall objective of the program is to prepare students to work in a number of different settings as knowledgeable, competent, caring, and creative genetic counselors. Graduates are eligible to apply for certification as genetic counselors and may work with physicians, biomedical scientists, and other health team members in hospitals,clinical genetics services, laboratories, or other health care and research sites.
