UCLA School of Law's LL.M. Program is a full-time nine-month academic year graduate law program (Master of Laws) in which LL.M. students create their own program of study from our rich selection of advanced course offerings, and take these classes alongside the Law School's Juris Doctor (J.D.) students.

LL.M. students have the ability, should they choose, to pursue a specialized LL.M. degree. Specializations are available in the following fields, in which UCLA ranks among the top law schools in the nation:

  • Entertainment and Media Law and Policy
  • International and Comparative Law
  • Four separate Business-related tracks:
    • Bankruptcy
    • Business Law
    • Securities Regulation
    • Tax

With the approval of the Director of Graduate Studies, students may also develop their own specializations in fields of their choice. Please note, however, that students may not create individualized specializations that are substantially similar to existing specializations.

Foreign students and graduates of U.S. law schools are eligible to apply. Applications are accepted from mid-October through February 1 of each year.
