NEAT (Nanophases in the Environment, Agriculture, and Technology) is a multidisciplinary research andeducation program which links the fundamental physics, chemistry, and engineering of small particles andnanomaterials to several challenging areas of investigation:
1. applications in ceramic, chemical, electronic, environmental, and agricultural technology;
2. environmental transport and transformation and resulting roles in environmental pollution and remediation;
3. interactions with the biosphere, especially microorganisms;
4. effects on health.
