Our program provides rigorous training in research while establishing a diverse background in modern plant sciences. The Department offers a program of research and instruction in agronomy, horticulture, and plant breeding and genetics, as well as fundamental aspects of physiology, plant growth and development, and cell and molecular biology. The Department encourages students to integrate the more classical aspects of these areas with recent research innovations in order to develop both breadth and depth in their studies.
