Research in aerospace engineering covers the fields of aeronautics and space technology. Research in mechanical engineering includes the areas of fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, dynamic/computational mechanics, control systems and thermosciences. The department also offers programs in design and manufacturing technology, reliability engineering, and biomedical engineering. In nuclear engineering the focus is on reactors, dynamics of nuclear systems, and energy. Close relation with the Applied Mathematics Program is maintained.
