The 48-credit-hour program combines nine core courses with seven electives. A strong emphasis is placed on leadership, public policy analysis, and public management practices, but you also have the ability to tailor the degree to your particular interests in public administration. We offer two tracks and five elective concentrations, including nonprofit study and in policy and management study for state and local government, energy/environment/technology, security and health. Fall admission only.     Accreditation Information: SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools); NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration)  # Of Credits Required: 48  Time To Degree: 21 months    Previous Degrees A 4-year bachelor's degree is required. We take a wide-range of majors, but the most common preparation is a liberal arts education.  Pre-Requisite Courses No courses are required, although we like to see microeconomics, American government, and statistics and/or research methods.  International Student Requirements In addition to the standard application requirements of an online application and fee, resume, statement of purpose, leadership experience, relevant experience, 3 letters of recommendation with form, official transcripts, and a current GRE or GMAT score, international applicants must also provide a TOEFL or IELTS score (see our website for appropriate scores).  Requirements Qualifying Exam: GRE Minimum Exam Score: GPA or Equivalent: n/a English Proficiency: Yes Research Competency: No Clinical Internship: No   Work Experience We like to see at least a few years experience in a relevant public service career, job, and/or internship, but we do not have a work requirement minimum.  Volunteer Experience A public service component is part of the application process.
