The department provides opportunities for students to pursue one or more of the five specialty areas, which include adult teaching and learning, literacy education, distance learning, human resource development, and technological studies. Classes are also taught which have college-wide and university-wide applications. Students have the opportunities to learn through course work, practica, research, and hands-on training under the guidance of faculty members within the department.
