Doctoral PhD On Campus   The purpose of SDSU's graduate degrees in nursing is to prepare professional leaders with specialized knowledge and skills to meet the nation's needs in clinical practice, nursing administration, and nursing education. The aim is to prepare nurses to practice at an advanced level in nursing in the functional roles of either nurse educator, administrator, or clinician which includes clinical nurse specialist or family nurse practitioner. Students focus on clinical tracks of adult/gerontology or family/parent-child.
