The Gerontology option offers two paths to a master's degree. Path 1 requires 36 credit hours, including a creative component and/or internship. Path 2 is the thesis option, requiring a minimum of 33 credit hours, including 5 credit hours for a thesis. In addition to core courses in theory and research, students select aging-related courses from: Sociology, Human Development and Family Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, Health and Human Performance, Higher Education, Speech Pathology, Applied Behavioral Studies, and Occupational and Adult Education.
