In partnership with Huxley College of the Environment at Western Washington University, North Cascades Institute offers a graduate program awarding a Master of Education in Environmental Education. Students complete a professional residency with the Institute at their new Learning Center in North Cascades National Park. During the residency students develop and teach environmental education programs for children and adults. Students work with the Institutes educators and administrative staff, as well as natural resource specialists with the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service and other community partners. Trained in environmental education with an emphasis in science, cultural studies, teaching and nonprofit administration, our graduates succeed in wide-ranging careers--from public and private schools to natural resource agencies and community service organizations.
