Designed as a two year program of study, the M.S. degree with a major in Agricultural Economics includes completion of a core sequence of courses including microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, quantitative methods and econometrics. This provides a solid foundation leading to a second year of study which includes courses from a broad range of options selected by the student based upon interests and faculty advisor guidance.
Ph.D. candidates majoring in Agricultural Economics complete year long core course sequences in microeconomic and macroeconomic theory and econometrics. Students select two fields of specialization from among the following: agricultural economics, econometrics, economic growth and development, financial economics, industrial organization, international economics, labor economics, macroeconomics, natural resources and environmental economics and public economics.
