The ISU Social Psychology Program provides its students with the skills necessary to pursue careers in both academic and applied settings. To do this, we emphasize training in three areas: general psychology, basic and applied social psychology, and research methods in social psychology. Much of this training occurs informally, between students and members of the social psychology faculty. All faculty in the program share an interest in both basic and applied research. The program prides itself on being able to provide the resources and environment that allow graduate students to immerse themselves in research of common interest to both the student and the faculty member.
