Doctoral
Doc.- Occupational Therapy (OTD)
On Campus

Creighton's School of Pharmacy and Health Professions created the nation's first entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program in which students receive a clinical doctorate. The entry-level OTD does not require a bachelor's degree for admission, but instead, a minimum of two years of prerequisite coursework. CreightonÆs Doctor of Occupational Therapy program prepares therapists who are dedicated to helping people achieve well-being through occupation. Our program prepares graduates to fulfill all traditional duties of occupational therapists while helping them become transformational leaders of the profession. The OTD is based on models of other professional doctorate degrees in health sciences, such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and physical therapy. Specifically, our OTD curriculum focuses on the complex relationships between neurologic capacities, occupational meaning, and function in the treatment and prevention of disability.
